Meet bowie loves frisbee
Bowie has been with us for about 5 years. He has been an amazing dog, but since having a child (with another on the way), his energy has been difficult to keep up with. Along with his high energy, he has snapped at my now 2 year old a few times. At one point, he did knick her a little bit. He has never snapped at my husband or I before this, and I am worried that bringing a new family member into his space has been overwhelming for him, along with us not always being able to release his high energy throughout the day. He has always been a very reactive dog, barking and growling at others who approach us or come to our home. He has never bitten anyone, but he has jumped up and grabbed people’s clothes. We believe there is some sort of dominance issue with my husband and I, as any trainer or dog sitter has not had the same issues. We don’t have the time or money frankly to put the work in on his behavior, and we are planning on moving states soon. Bringing him along feels too much.
