Meet grady

Meet Grady!

Some dogs make an entrance with boundless energy. Grady quietly wins your heart with a gentle gaze, a wagging tail, and the simple joy of being close to his people.

At just 1 year old and 10 pounds, this handsome short-haired Chihuahua found himself wandering the streets of Detroit with no one coming forward to claim him. While we may never know how he ended up alone, we're determined to make sure his next chapter is filled with the love, security, and stability he has always deserved.

Grady is a sweet, gentle little guy with a quiet and easygoing personality. He's a bit hesitant when meeting new people, but once he realizes you're kind, he quickly settles in and happily soaks up all the attention you have to offer. Whether he's curled up beside you on the couch, perched contentedly in your lap, or being carried around like the little prince he is, Grady is happiest when he's close to his favorite people.

He gets along well with other dogs, has done well with cats, and would likely be a wonderful companion for older, dog-savvy children who understand how to respectfully interact with a small dog. Grady is crate trained, has demonstrated an excellent understanding of house manners, and walks nicely on a leash, making him an easy companion to bring along on life's adventures.

Because of his small size, Grady is not a candidate for a tether or invisible fence. He is looking for a family committed to keeping him safe through supervised outdoor time and secure leash walks, while welcoming him as a cherished member of the family.

If you're searching for a loyal little shadow, a professional lap warmer, and a gentle soul who simply wants someone to love, Grady may be the perfect addition to your family. All he asks in return is a place to belong and a family that will love him furever.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.

While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.

FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
