Sweet, cuddly, and cute, give a warm welcome to Geranium, a 2-year old, 25-pound Dachshund/Chihuahua mix who is an easy dog to care for and an even easier dog to fall in love with.

Housebroken, a dream on a leash, and non-destructive in the home, Geranium does her bathroom business outside, she’s relaxed when you walk her, and she quietly hangs out in the house the rest of the time. She’s a minimal shedder and an infrequent barker, making her a low-maintenance pup and a pleasure to be around.

Geranium gets along well with everyone, but she can be initially wary of larger dogs or unfamiliar males. Once she knows it’s safe, her tail begins to wag, she wiggles her body from side to side, and she wants to be either played with or pet. Or both! Geranium is a big, soft cuddle-bug who thrives on affection and attention. She can also be a lazy couch potato, snoozing the day away. You set the tone and she will follow your lead…to a point. More of a slow-mover than a hyper hound, Geranium doesn’t need to jog 5 miles a day. Instead, she’d vote for 5 snuggle sessions a day, mixed in with a bunch tender kisses and a mound of tasty treats.

Geranium doesn’t know any commands yet, but she responds when you call her name, and takes direction/correction well. She seems to behave so well, without even being told what to do. Sounds pretty amazing, huh? That’s ’cause she is!
