Meet perry
Perry is a lovely boy! He knows sit, shake, down, roll over, a moderately long 'stay', here, and 'place' to send him to his bed! He is also potty trained, but he doesn't get along well with other dogs.
He has been with our family for at least 13 years, but my parents recently got divorced, and neither wants to take him. I want to take him myself, but I have two cats who he would certainly eat -- he is a mutt, but he certainly has some kind of hunting ancestry and has a powerful predator drive for squirrels, cats, and other small mammals. He has never bitten a human, but routinely barks at new strangers. It does not take him long to get accustomed to people if they are introduced by someone he knows, so he is a great guard dog against strangers!
He is old and has cataracts, but is very lively still! He loves going on walks.
I have been told that if I don't find a home for him, he will be put down
