Hey, we don't make the rules. 🚫📜 McGee does. 👑👴

At 11 years old, this Terrier mix has a few non-negotiables: morning walks ☀️, human beds 🛏️, regular bathroom breaks 🧻, dinner that's easy on his remaining teeth 🍦, personal space when requested🫸 … and when McGee paws you for attention, you pet McGee. 🫡

He’s a little gent who weighs just 8 pounds (most of which are probably his ears 😍), and he has a very clear vision for his golden years. 💛

McGee is mellow, sweet and low-energy, but every once in a while, he'll surprise you with his goofball side. 🌀 You may think this means he'd like to play with you. But do not presume. 😂 If that's not what he had in mind, he'll simply get up and leave.

McGee loves his walks and is excellent on a leash. He's crate trained and mostly house trained, but he's still working on letting his people know when he needs to go out, so regular bathroom breaks are important. He can also be pretty vocal 📢 in his crate when left alone.

He does well with other dogs, but sometimes McGee needs his space. ↔️ He's given his foster dog sibling a couple of “sir, PLEASE” growls when his boundaries weren't respected, so a calm companion would suit him best if you have other dogs. Cats are unknown, and he’d do best with kids 10 and up or in an adult-only home.

With only three teeth 🦷🦷🦷, McGee appreciates wet food mixed into his meals or kibble softened with water. Because at his age, by golly, he's earned a dinner that's easy to chew! 👏 He has some very specific opinions, but he’s a sweet, gentle little guy who's still learning when it's safe to let his guard down. Quick movements can make him nervous, so McGee needs a quieter, patient home where he can settle in on his own time.

His foster says that when you look into his eyes, you can tell he just wants to trust someone enough to melt into them. 🥹 And once he decides you're his person, that little old man heart is all yours. 👴❤️

McGee's adoption fee is $225. He’s neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters.
