Meet Copper! At 1.5 years old, this sweet boy is a big pup with an even bigger heart. Copper loves being around his people, whether that's playing frisbee in the backyard, going for a walk, or lounging on the couch. While he prefers company, he’s independent enough to settle nicely on his own and isn't destructive when left at home.We aren't sure of his exact breed, but we suspect he's a Rottweiler mix. He’s incredibly expressive, food-motivated, and eager to learn (though he’s still working on his leash manners). Copper is very social with other dogs, though his large size and enthusiastic play style can sometimes intimidate smaller friends.Because of some sensitive past experiences, Copper prefers gentle handling and doesn't like having his collar grabbed or being touched suddenly. With a little patient coaxing and reassurance, however, he’s eager to please. He rarely barks, gives the best kisses, and is looking for a loving home that understands his gentle soul.
