Meet izzy
Izzy is a 4 year old, pure bred, mini Australian Shephard weighing 31 lbs. We received Izzy from a small, local breeder in northern Colorado. She is a high energy dog and loves at least two walks or trips to the park each day. She loves to hike, spend time outside, and cuddle up with her humans at the end of the day. Her favorite activity is playing frisbee. With her high energy, Izzy is an anxious dog and is prescribed Prozac daily.
My wife and I brought her into our home as a puppy before we had children and she was a great dog for an active couple. We now have a 1-year-old child who is on the move and Izzy has not been transitioning well to an active child in the house. A couple of week ago Izzy snapped at our child who was crawling toward her.
Izzy does well with other dogs outside of the home, but would do best being the only dog in the house. Izzy would thrive in an active household without young children around.
