Goulash is a gentle soul who is discovering that the world isn`t such a scary place. If you give her just a little bit of patience, she is happy to show you her sweet and joyful personality once she knows you are her friend.Goulash is spending some time in a temporary foster home and is making wonderful progress and gaining confidence each day. At home, Goulash lets her personality shine. She LOVES playing with toys, especially her BarkBox Yeti! Goulash loves playing fetch! She sits and waits for you to throw and then brings it back after a few zooms.She is housebroken and only jumped on furniture when invited, and she was just as happy lying on the ground with a blanket. Goulash becomes more and more cuddly by the day. She can still be nervous around quick movements and may shake when she`s unsure, but those moments are becoming less frequent as she learns that she`s safe. While she may be a little anxious when left alone, she settles well with a distraction.On walks, Goulash has nice leash manners, responding well to gentle guidance, and was non-reactive to people and other animals. She enjoy walks through Patterson Park, around Canton, and in Fells Point — where she loves a stop for a pup cup. While she enjoys treats, she is not very food motivated. She walks great on leash, only pulling when she hears a noise she doesn’t like or sees squirrels and pigeons (not reactive to other birds, though). She is easy to redirect and minimally to nonreactive towards other dogs. She is interested and friendly towards other humans on walks — charming every single one she meets.Goulash has met other dogs at the shelter, she is a gentle girl who does best with polite friends! She has interacted nicely with small breed dogs.Goulash will thrive with a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. She benefits from clear, gentle boundaries and positive reinforcement, and she`s already proving just how rewarding it is to watch her blossom.
