Luka may be a senior boy, but don’t let the gray on his face fool you—this handsome guy still has plenty of pep in his step! He loves a good game of fetch and is wonderfully polite about it. Luka will chase the ball, bring it right back, drop it at your feet, and patiently wait for you to throw it again. What a gentleman!

He’s also quite the show-off when treats are involved. Luka knows how to sit, lie down, and shake, and he is always eager to demonstrate his skills for a tasty reward. He even quickly mastered the art of bobbing for pupperonis in the baby pool—because apparently regular treats just weren’t entertaining enough!

After a little playtime, Luka is perfectly happy to settle in for some pets and a nap. And that’s one of the great things about this boy: he doesn’t need hours of activity to be happy. A little fun, some affection, and a cozy place to rest are all part of his idea of a perfect day.

Luka was dearly loved by his family from the time he was a puppy until he came to the shelter when circumstances changed and they could no longer care for him. We know leaving the only family he had ever known was a big change, but Luka has continued to show us what a wonderful, loving dog he is.

This sweet senior is ready for someone who will appreciate all he has to offer—a playful fetch partner, a treat-loving trickster, and an expert napper all rolled into one.
