Peaches is a big ol` softie who likes meeting people and isn`t afraid of much at all. She came in with Gizmo, who is her best friend that she`s lived with, and has endured many ups and downs with. Gizmo has since gone on to find his forever home, but Peaches is still waiting.Peaches is sweet, social, and respectful. She doesn`t bark much, content to hang out around her people and entertain herself. Peaches does best with durable toys such as Kong balls, as she is able to quickly turn stuffed toys into shreds and puffs of stuffing. When she`s not playing with toys, she spends her time as a couch potato, sometimes rolling around on her back if she`s feeling silly. While she does well with dogs, she is scared of any dog that is bigger than her, so it`s best to keep her around other puppies that are her size or smaller. She`s also lived with several different children, but she does best with ones who are old enough to respect her boundaries - no tail pulling, no stealing toys, no poking and pulling.So far, she knows the commands sit and stay, and she`s in the middle of learning how to give paw. She also seems to be house-trained!If you have kids and other dogs at home, we highly recommend bringing them in for a Meet-and-Greet at our shelter to see if Peaches can be the newest addition to your pack. She deserves it!
