Meet blanche
*NOTE: Blanche is in foster in Puerto Rico, and her adoption fee includes flying her to the states to her adoptive home*
Miss Blanche is such a cute, scruffy, petite (10 lb) chi-mix! She was found with what we believe was one of her puppies (she looks to have had a litter in the last few months) in the rocks of Aguada in Puerto Rico. The girls were scavenging for food and trying to stay safe. :(
Enter The Puerto Rico Dog Fund (PRDF) followers, who called us for help! The team found the dogs, took Blanche and her puppy in, we vetted them (Blanche is spayed and has great blood work, she is on monthly preventative medication for fleas/ticks and heartworm prevention), and our Foster community stepped up to ensure she has a safe home to decompress and learn how to be a pet.
Blanche has quite the personality, and uses her slight frame to challenge barriers and prove she can roam freely with her big foster siblings safely. Her foster home is usually focused on large, elderly dogs - so Blanche is the one nugget in a home of ELEVEN other dogs, all over 50 lbs, except her slight 10 lb self! :) She gets along great with the pack, and really LOVES being held (but the foster is working through her initial scared reaction of the "reach" for her). She settles in like a champ, claiming the lap as hers, and quickly realized being the tiny Princess in a house full of big dogs is a good gig.
