I want to clear up some confusion about how we ended up with this sweet dog.
We took him in from someone who asked us for help. She had not provided him with any medical care, and told us that if he wasn’t a good fit for our family, we could simply bring him back.
The first thing we did was take him to the vet to check for a microchip, get him vaccinated, and have him evaluated. That’s when we learned he is deaf and estimated to be around 2–3 years old.
After just 3 days, we realized he wasn’t the right fit for our home. While he is incredibly sweet with people and amazing with kids, he becomes very fearful around our dog, which causes him to react aggressively. With three young children, we’re worried that if he’s in that heightened state, someone could accidentally get hurt.
This situation has been incredibly stressful for our family. We truly believe he would thrive in a loving home where he can be the only dog. He deserves a family who can give him the time, patience.
