Lonnie A18607348 lb. spayed female, approx 1 year old -This sweet girl just needs a little time to settle in, and it’s so rewarding when she does-She enjoys treats, sits politely and takes them gently-The busy shelter environment had her a bit on edge, but once inside she happily entertained herself by tossing a toy around and relaxing with it-When she was ready, she made her way over for affection, leaned in for pets, and even handed out a few sweet kisses-She’s an independent girl with a playful side who will blossom with a little patience, giving her people a loving companion once she feels safe-She walks nicely on leash-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home.
