Meet lonnie

Lonnie A18607348 lb. spayed female, approx 1 year old -This sweet girl just needs a little time to settle in, and it’s so rewarding when she does-She enjoys treats, sits politely and takes them gently-The busy shelter environment had her a bit on edge, but once inside she happily entertained herself by tossing a toy around and relaxing with it-When she was ready, she made her way over for affection, leaned in for pets, and even handed out a few sweet kisses-She’s an independent girl with a playful side who will blossom with a little patience, giving her people a loving companion once she feels safe-She walks nicely on leash-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
