Lucy is a 9-year-old spayed Lab mix with an incredible rescue story. We found her as a tiny puppy living inside an old tire, covered in fleas with severe mange and badly damaged ears. With love and care, she grew into a healthy, beautiful 70-pound companion.
Lucy is calm around the house but still enjoys playing. She has a big voice, an enthusiastic play growl, and is known for her adorable grumbles when she's sleepy and doesn't want to be disturbed. She isn't motivated by treats, but she loves praise, affection, and cuddling with her people.
Lucy needs to be the only pet in an adult-only home. She has had serious incidents with other dogs, though she has never been aggressive toward people. She is deeply loyal and bonds closely with her family.
Finding Lucy a new home is heartbreaking, and we're committed to finding someone who will love and understand this special girl.
