Welcome, Winston! This gentle soul was brought to us by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan who was concerned about his condition and was able to convince his owner to surrender him. Winston's coat was severely matted, dirty, stained with urine and was a bit thin. Thankfully the Good Samaritan did a mercy grooming on him and we are grateful. It was clear he had been neglected for quite some time and had lived outdoors his entire life. He was so sensitive to touch that even gentle affection and kisses made him flinch. With patience, love, and proper care, Winston has blossomed into the happy, trusting dog he was always meant to be. He is such a sweet boy. Winston is energetic, playful, affectionate, obedient, easygoing, and truly a diamond in the rough. He greets each day with a happy spirit and is ready to leave his past behind for a future filled with love. Winston needs a home with a yard and a sibling who wants to play and be his buddy teaching him the ropes of life. Winston is currently working on his basic commands. He is crate trained, still learning about potty training and doing well with us. He is wonderful with kids and should do well with cats given a slow, proper introduction. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours for meet-and-greet appointments.
