First things first...
Can we all appreciate this face?
Half black.
Half white.
One enormous smile.
It's like Mother Nature got halfway through painting Lena and decided, "You know what? This is perfect."
And honestly?
She was right.
Lena is just over a year old, weighs about 35 pounds, and is that wonderful stage where all the puppy chaos has been replaced with a dog who's figured out that learning things is actually pretty fun.
This girl already knows commands like Sit and Paw, and she'll happily show off her skills if there's praise involved. She's smart, eager to please, and absolutely beams when someone tells her she's done a good job.
Speaking of beaming...
Have you ever met a dog that actually smiles?
Because Lena does.
Not the "I happen to have my mouth open" kind of smile.
The "OH MY GOSH, YOU'RE HOME!" kind of smile.
The kind that makes complete strangers grin back at her without even realizing it.
Her résumé includes:

✔️ Heartworm negative
✔️ Knows commands
✔️ Professional smiler
✔️ Owner of one of the coolest faces we've ever seen
Now, let's talk about the only thing Lena asks for.
Structure.
Like many young, intelligent dogs, Lena does best when she's crated while her people are away. It gives her a safe place to relax instead of trying to invent her own entertainment.
Her previous family chose not to crate her and left her alone for long stretches of the day. As you can probably guess, a bored one-year-old dog found her own projects.
We don't blame Lena for being... creative.
Give her exercise, attention, a crate when you're out, and someone who appreciates how wonderfully smart she is, and you've got yourself one fantastic companion.
She's affectionate, eager to learn, loves interacting with her people, and has that perfect medium size that makes her equally happy joining you on adventures or curling up after a busy day.
Some dogs make you laugh.
Some dogs make you smile.
Lena somehow manages to do both...
...mostly because she's smiling right back at you.
