Meet diana

Likes
• Going for walks and exploring new places. She does great on the leash.
• Lounging in the sunshine and quietly observing her surroundings.
• Being near her people.
• Playing and interacting once she feels comfortable. Maybe even having the zoomies!
• Her crate — she is very crate trained and does well settling in.
• Calm environments, routines, and gentle encouragement.
• Has done well in louder/busier environments, including a softball game and a thunderstorm.

Personality
• Sweet, gentle, and observant.
• She can be a little timid when experiencing new people, places, or situations, but she continues to gain confidence with time and patience.
• Does well with both men and women, though she may need some time to warm up.
• Not reactive or aggressive. When unsure, she tends to observe by laying near by rather than react.
• She enjoying a slow intro to the river and her humans anticipate her loving it!

Things We’re Still Working On
• Car rides are not her favorite. She currently needs to be picked up and placed into the car, but once she is in, she will tolerate the ride. We are continuing to build positive experiences and help her become more comfortable with car travel.
• New environments and unfamiliar situations can make her a little nervous at first. She benefits from slow introductions and reassurance.
• She may be a little unsure around other dogs initially, but she has not been reactive. We typically give her space and continue to work on positive experiences.
• When left alone and in a playful mood, she may occasionally grab a shoe or another item to chew on, but she responds well to redirection.
• She is still unsure of baths.

Other Notes
• She has had no accidents in the house.
• She has been around a puppy and a teenager and did well with comfort from her person.
• She is continuing to be socialized around different people, dogs, and environments and has shown improvement as she becomes more comfortable.

Overall, she is a wonderful dog with a sweet, gentle personality. She appears to need some time to build confidence in new situations, but she is making progress and continues to show what a loving companion she can be.
