Hi, I’m Gloria! 🐾💕

I have an important announcement: I have officially come out of my shell, and WOW, is life fun! I’ve discovered that I absolutely love playing, snuggling, exploring, and—most importantly—being wherever my humans are.

If my people are up for a walk, I’m ready for an adventure! If they’d rather stay home, I’m equally happy to curl up on the couch for a movie night. Honestly, I’m not picky. As long as I’m with my people, I’m a happy girl.

I’m a professional follower. You go to the kitchen? I’m coming. You head to the couch? Already there. Bedtime? Obviously I’m coming too. I love snuggling up close and being near my humans, and I’m happiest when I know my people are close by.

I can be a little shy and submissive when meeting new people, and sometimes I get so nervous that I have a little accident. But once I know you’re kind and I’m feeling comfortable, I’m more than happy to soak up all the attention. I just do best when my humans are nearby to give me confidence.

When it comes to other dogs, I like to take things slowly. I’m not necessarily going to rush up and make everyone my new best friend. I prefer to observe first and make sure another dog is friendly. I can warm up over time, but I’m most comfortable with dogs who aren’t overly dominant or super outgoing. I also love my toys and can be a little possessive of them if I don’t have enough space, so I’ll need a family who understands that and can help me feel comfortable. Cats are a little more complicated. I can do well with a cat who is comfortable around dogs, but I may not be the biggest fan of every feline I meet.

Speaking of toys… I LOVE THEM. Stuffed toys and chew toys are my favorites, and I’m always happy to have something fun to carry around or investigate. I haven’t had much opportunity to see what I’m like playing with another dog, so that remains a mystery waiting to be solved!

I also have some pretty adorable morning rituals. When I wake up, I stretch my whole body and let out a giant, dramatic vocal yawn to announce, "GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!" Then I’m ready to start the day. I also love plopping myself onto the couch and rolling around like I own the place. And honestly? I kind of do.

I’m doing great with my home skills, too. I’m fully house-trained as long as I get regular potty breaks, and when my people leave the house, I do best when I’m kenneled.

The biggest thing to know about me is that I’m a people girl through and through. I feel safest and happiest when I’m with my humans, and once I trust you, I have so much love, silliness, and personality to share.

I may have started out a little shy, but I’ve really blossomed—and I’m having the BEST time discovering how wonderful life can be. I’ve already brought lots of laughter and smiles to my foster family, and I’m hoping my forever family is ready for a lifetime of snuggles, silly couch rolls, big morning yawns, toy time, adventures, and unconditional love.
