Meet cooper
Cooper is a great outdoor companion dog. He chose me in the divorce but I can’t give him the life he needs on my own.
He loves to hike, run on leash, fetch balls, and go swimming. He is a good listener and has learned to “whisper” instead of using his big bark. He wants to keep his home and family safe so needs time when meeting new people. He has worked hard on his greetings and knows to sit on his bed (with reminders) when people come to the door.
We adopted him from a family that had to surrender him at 8 months due to covid. He is a purebred field lab that is trained to stay on your left side for bird hunting.
He can be lot to handle if he gets anxious. He would prefer to be an only dog. He has strong prey drive and lunges on leash if he thinks he needs to protect you. He is trained with an e-collar but just uses the vibration setting these days.
He is partial to women and sleeps in his kennel and has the run of the house (5-6 hours) on his own.
