Every morning, Janey/Ellie wakes up with sleepy eyes, already wagging her tail, clumsily jumping out of bed excited to start her day with a nice long run, with plenty of sniff breaks. As soon as she she steps outside, her focus is on exploring everything around her, eagerly pushing forward to explore new trails. Her floppy mismatched ears perk up at the sound or sight of any other animals outside. She intently watches the squirrels, plotting her next move to chase them up the trees. She makes it clear that she does not like other dogs, but through lots of edible bribes, she has made a huge improvement in her reaction to seeing them in just a week and a half in foster care!Although her attention outside is focused on the critters, inside it is diverted to any humans in her company. She loves to celebrate when her people come home, or when she is introduced to new friends, and always keeps it polite with no jumping or slobbering. She is a party dog, thoroughly enjoying the company of lots of new people to meet and play with.At the end of the day, she loves to snuggle on the couch, her expressive eyes slowly nodding in and out of sleep. When she falls asleep, she always twitches her paws as she dreams about chasing endless squirrels and bunnies.Janey is the perfect dog for a home missing a gentle, friendly, and active companion!
