Caspar is a sweet, loyal, and gentle Shepherd mix who is looking for a home where he can continue to thrive. He is smart, house trained, good with other dogs. He knows several commands and is very responsive to his people. He even seems to understand more than we realize!
Caspar can be a little jumpy and has a noticeable startle response to unexpected noises or movements. We recommend a Shepherd-savvy home, one without children who have friends coming and going frequently, as he does have some reservations about new people at first.
Once he is comfortable, Caspar is very gentle and affectionate. He is generally pretty quiet, enjoys spending time with his people, and loves playing in water. He also enjoys being brushed, which is a good thing because this handsome boy sheds quite a bit and will need regular brushing.
Caspar is a wonderful, fun-loving companion who would do best with a family that understands Shepherds and can appreciate his loyal, sensitive nature. He is not quite a brewery-dog type, but he would love a home where he can relax, bond with his people, and enjoy life by their side.
