Meet axel
About Axel: rescued from streets of Houston, joined our family 10/15/17, extremely loyal/loving, treat motivated, excellent communicator, loves car rides/adventures, lives for walks, wants to be curled up on our laps, needs home where one works from home or is retired, fearful of young children so a home with 10+ yo kids is ideal, 2 surgeries for luxating patella on both back knees Axel was a timid, reactive dog when he joined our family. He has come so far since 2017! With treats/time, Axel will adjust to strangers. He lives to chase the bunnies and squirrels in the backyard. Axel will show you all of his tricks, all at once, for a treat. He loves to zoom around the yard, beach, and our home. Axel is fully house trained. However, he will mark at another house if a dog is or has been present. We have male marking diapers for those times. Axel brings us immeasurable joy! It breaks out hearts to re-home him. My health makes it difficult to meet his needs and give him his best dog life.
