Walter is a 26 pound Dachshund mix who is all about love, attention and snuggles! At 1.5 years old this sweet boy is hoping for a loving family to spend the rest of his life with! Besides being adorable,  Walter is a happy pup that LOVES to be outside playing and running! We are requiring a fence for him at his new home so he can freely play outside until his little heart is content. He is socialized and currently lives with male and female dogs, but he is definitely more comfortable with females his size or smaller! Walter is also good with cats!  This cutie is potty trained, does well in his crate and is good on leash!  Walter does have some fear and is not thrilled to share all his toys...hey neither am I lol! All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
