Meet bonnie

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bonnie spent her previous life as a breeder dog, valued only for the puppies she could produce. She was nearly bred to death, receiving little of the love, care, or comfort she should have always had. Now, safely in foster care, Bonnie is finally experiencing what it means to be cherished — and she is ready for a forever family who will give her the same devotion in return. Bonnie has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on all preventative medications. She has undergone soft palate surgery and nasal stenosis repair to help her breathe more comfortably. Bonnie was born with microphthalmia, leaving her blind in her left eye; when she arrived in foster care, that eye was becoming necrotic and required removal. She will need to remain on a fatty acid and joint supplement for life. French Bulldogs are a medically complex breed, so Bonnie’s adopter must have both the financial means and the willingness to provide ongoing, high‑quality veterinary care. An experienced dog owner with excellent veterinary references is required, and preference will be given to adopters familiar with brachycephalic breeds and their unique needs. Bonnie is delightfully ball‑obsessed — she carries one almost everywhere and occasionally even sleeps with it. She enjoys the company of other calm dogs her size or smaller, but she would also thrive as an only dog because she absolutely adores her people and soaks up attention. She loves daily walks when temperatures are safe, but otherwise she is a snoring, snorting, wonderfully flatulent couch companion. Because she bonds closely with her humans, a home where someone is not gone for long stretches would be ideal. When alone, she is fully crate trained. Bonnie is okay with cats and would do best with a dog‑savvy cat. She loves children, but because she can become overly excited around very young kids, any children in the home should be at least 6 years old. Bonnie has spent her life giving everything she had to humans who didn’t value her. Now it’s her turn. For the right home — one that sees her worth, meets her needs, and embraces her quirks — Bonnie will be an extraordinary addition. Her wish list may be long, but she deserves nothing less than the very best. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 6, 2026, 7:28 pm
