Meet apricot

HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.---- Foster family says she is pretty chill and sleeps much of the day; growing more playful as time goes on - Loves giving kisses and will wiggle right up to your face to shower you with love - Loves booty scratches and makes a funny content face when you scratch just the right spot - Master pillow fort maker - Snores loudly when she sleeps - Foster family says she does GREAT on a leash when she wants to go on walks, but may be stubborn and pretend her legs don't work if you wake her up from a nap before she's ready - Sleeps quietly through the night in her foster home outside of her crate - Stays in a crate when unsupervised in her foster home; settles quickly in her crate, especially if she has something to keep her busy like a peanut butter lick mat - Has a good foundation for potty training, will just need some help from her new family to get to 100% - Foster family she can be a little vocal at first when left alone before settling in - Still figuring out what stairs are, but making great progress in her foster home - Has lived with cats and other dogs in her foster home and met her foster family's bunnies through a gate; coexists peacefully with everyone in the home - Can be a little unsure of dogs she meets outside of her foster home and would likely do best with a dog friend who's more interested in hanging out and coexisting than always playing together - Has not had any direct interactions with children in her foster home, but has never met a stranger and is all wiggles when meeting new people The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 40.5 Age: 1yrs 4mths 0wks
