Hi, I’m Shadow — a 7yearold, 41pound Labrador Retriever blend who lives life with curiosity, comfort, and plenty of heart. I’m clever, affectionate, and full of the goofy charm that makes humans smile without even trying. I’m hoping to find a foster or forever family who’ll appreciate my loyal nature.

Favorite Things: Shadow loves exploring her environment, greeting new friends with cheerful enthusiasm, and soaking up affection from anyone willing to offer it. Toys are her absolute joy, and she brightens instantly when she has a few to choose from. She’s a snuggly, social girl who enjoys curling up close to her humans and being part of their daily rhythm.

Training and Manners: Shadow is housetrained when given regular opportunities to go outside and will let her people know when she needs a break. She’s treatmotivated and picks up new expectations quickly. She’s practicing her leash skills and working on calmer greetings. At night she may bark when left alone but does settle once she understands the routine. She also loves car rides and happily joins on outings.

Health and Care: Shadow is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She will just need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. She’s finishing treatment for a skin infection and takes her medications with patient cooperation. Regular baths and nail trims will keep her comfortable and feeling her best.

Other Animals: Shadow does well with big, playful dogs, especially when introductions are slow and thoughtful. Smaller pups and cats can get overwhelmed by her enthusiasm, so she’s best as the only pet in the home.

Children: Shadow’s experience with children is unknown. Her spirited nature suggests she may do well with respectful, dogsavvy kids who understand her cues and give her time to adjust.

Ideal Home: Shadow feels most comfortable when her people are close and would thrive in a home where someone is around more often. She enjoys having room to explore, whether that’s a yard or regular outdoor outings. Apartment living could work if her family helps her settle during busy moments and ensures she gets enough exercise.
