Meet carson - special needs
Meet Carson! He is a 5 year old Shepherd mix who arrived in our care with severe skin issues and needing some extra TLC. Throughout treatment at HSSC, it has been determined that Carson has an autoimmune condition that affects his skin and requires steroids long-term to help manage his symptoms. His skin has been getting better each and every day, but as you can see from his handsome pictures, his nose is still irritated from the past. Carson is a sweet and affectionate boy who loves people and can`t wait to snuggle up with his favorite people. He is reactive with dogs, but has lived with dogs in the past and shows potential to live with a more laid-back dog in his forever home. While he shows potential to live with the right dog, he wouldn`t mind being the only king in the castle either. Since he is such a big boy, if there are kids in his forever home he would do best with kids ages 13 and older, but he would likely do well with younger visiting children. Carson is seeking a special family that can help manage his medical condition and give him the happy and healthy life that he deserves!
