Meet Ashby — A Little Girl With a Big Heart Ashby is officially ready to find her forever home! This special little girl has been through more than most dogs her age, but she hasn’t let it slow her down. She came to us in July from animal control with an injured foot and ultimately became a tripod. Today, she gets around wonderfully on three legs and has learned to adapt with an incredible amount of resilience.We believe Ashby is a Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix, around 2 years old. She is potty trained, loves treats, enjoys snuggling, and has the sweetest personality.Ashby weighs 10 pounds, is playful and silly and would love another friendly doggie companion to play with. When playtime is over, she settles nicely and enjoys being close to her people. She’s also not much of a barker, making her a lovely little companion.Her ideal home would be with someone who has plenty of time to spend with her. She loves being included in the fun—especially stroller rides! Because she is a tripod, we would prefer a ranch-style home or a home with minimal stairs so she doesn’t have to navigate stairs regularly.Ashby may have lost the use of one leg, but she certainly hasn’t lost her zest for life. She is proof that sometimes the little dogs who have been through the most have the biggest hearts. Now all she needs is someone to see just how special she truly is and give her the forever home she deserves.Ashby is being fostered in Allenton, WIAshby is ready.
