Tommy is the absolute cutest boy who is much larger in person than you’d anticipate. He’s got the stumpiest little legs, but the longest ears. He’s not nearly as cute in pictures as he is in person. He appears as if he’s the mix of a Dogue de Bordeaux and a French Bulldog. We have no idea what he actually is, but he’s quite a sight!

Tommy has medium energy and will come on like a bat out of hell when he comes out of the crate or comes in from outside, but does calm down shortly. He lives with multiple children, but because he can be mouthy when overly excited, we recommend older children.

Tommy is potty trained and crate trained and he actually does well being left out of the crate, but he’s perfectly content being crated overnight or whenever is needed. He had just a couple accidents right after we got him but once he was in a routine, he never had another.

Tommy’s favorite place in the whole wide world is outside. He loves to explore the backyard, hide under the deck, or sunbathe on the deck. If Tommy has an opportunity to hang out, outside, he’s not going to turn it down. He isn’t even bothered by the rain. He will lay in the middle of the yard, rain or shine, and ignore your calls to come inside. Because backyard is life.

Tommy absolutely loves his toys but he does not clean up after himself. Whenever Tommy is let out of his crate or the room he has free roam of, he will make multiple trips back and forth to bring all of his toys out with him. They never make it back to his room unless the human picks them up though. Tommy takes them out but never puts them away. He’s really good about not trying to eat inappropriate items, with the exception of flip flops, or slides. Tommy cannot resist sandals and would gladly take them off your feet if he could. But as long as you keep your footwear away from Tommy’s reach, he’s a really amazing boy.

Tommy is dog friendly and previously lived with another dog full time but he will resource guard high value items so he would likely do best as an only dog, or a home that understands and will practice management with toys, food, and treats for safety.

Otherwise, Tommy is a happy go lucky boy that doesn’t ask for too much. He’s got all of the basics mastered and he’s just looking for his people. If you’re interested in meeting, Tommy, please fill out an
