Meet coco
Coco is a brown-eyed beauty looking for his forever home in the Northeast!
He was found with his brother, Bruno, who is also available for adoption, on the back roads of south Texas. We believed they were dumped as there were no houses or people for miles and they were just 3 months old at the time they were found.
Bruno and Coco are estimated to be born around October 2025 – they have been in foster care since 3 months old.
Bruno is 55 lbs and Coco is 46 lbs.
Both Bruno and Coco are currently being fostered in a sanctuary in south Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a short term stop for these fur-babies until their forever homes are found.
They both LOVE the water and getting into the kiddo pools and their water bowls when they can and when they fit! They would make great adventure buddies.
Both Bruno and Coco love sleeping on the couch – they will cosy in wherever they fit and sleep all through the night without making a sound.
The foster says this about CoCo:
What makes him the happiest?
Sunbathing, running around and playing in bodies or small buckets of water. Very much a water boy. Playing with other dogs, especially his brother, Bruno.
What is his personality?
He acts like he is independent, but he is not. He loves his human foster and attaches to her like Velcro when she is around. he is crate trained too!
Kids? Other Dogs? Cats?
Good with older kids! He loves all dogs, big and small. He has not met cats but can be tested if an applicant is interested.
Car Rides? Leash? Any Fears?
CoCo enjoys car rides when he gets them, even if they are to the vet. he walks very well on a leash. So far, the foster has not noticed anything he is afraid of. He seems to shrug off anything and go about his day.
Ideal home?
A playful one where he would get lots of toys, lots of treats and DEFINITELY lots of belly rubs! CoCo loves his belly rubs.
Coco is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.

This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast.
The adoption fee listed ($295) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the Northeast.
Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks:
Albany, NY – Only one transport company goes here, once a month
Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT
Nashua, NH – Only one transport company goes here, times vary
Willington, CT - Stamford, CT - Dayville, CT
Steubenville, OH – Cincinnati, OH – Grove City, OH
Grove City, PA and Washington, PA
Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ
Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD
Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA
We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home. With an approved application, we do put you in touch with the foster who has the animal for you to ask any specific questions regarding them.
