Meet robert 9 (shine)

Meet Robert 9 (Shine)! If there was ever a dog who embodied resilience and forgiveness, it`s Shine. Despite everything he`s been through, he chooses joy. He greets every person he meets with a wagging tail, a hopeful heart, and the biggest smile. Instead of letting his past define him, he`s ready to write a new chapter with a family who will finally show him the love he`s always deserved.Shine recently spent some time in a short-term foster home, where he quickly proved what a wonderful companion he is. His foster described him as an incredibly friendly, affectionate boy who loves being with his people. He settled in quickly, enjoyed spending time with everyone he met, and became an expert cuddle buddy, happily snuggling up close at bedtime. When it`s time to relax, Shine is more than happy to stretch out for a long nap or sleep soundly through the night.Back at the shelter, Shine continues to charm everyone he meets. He`s easy to leash and enjoys getting outside to explore, happily taking in all the sights and smells. He has not shown any reactivity to other dogs on walks and seems genuinely excited to meet every person he passes, making friends wherever he goes. This sweet boy is incredibly food motivated, making him a great candidate for continued training. He`s already working on learning `sit,` loves earning treats, and is discovering just how much fun toys can be. He can get a little excited when he`s playing or asking for attention, but he`s eager to learn and would thrive with positive reinforcement and consistency. At around 42 pounds, he`d also benefit from gaining a little healthy weight as he continues to blossom.Shine is adjusting to home life and is continuing to build confidence with his routine. He did well spending time in his crate, enjoys car rides once he settles in, and is making progress with housetraining. Like many dogs transitioning from the shelter, he appreciates having company and a predictable routine as he learns that he`s safe and loved.Robert 9 (Shine) has quickly stolen the hearts of volunteers and his foster family with his gentle nature, affectionate personality, and endless tail wags. There is something truly remarkable about this boy—his kindness shines through despite his difficult past.Robert 9 (Shine) has already proven just how strong and forgiving he is. Now all he needs is someone to believe in him and give him the safe, loving home he`s always deserved. Could you be
