Sookie (sue-key) is a loving and loyal girl ready to show how great she will fit into your family! She is house-trained, kennel-trained and is learning new tricks like sit and down.Sookie's star power is her on-leash walking skills. She matches your pace, keeps a nice loose leash and will give your leg a nice nose nudge to reconnect during the walk. She likes meeting other nice dogs, even licking a new friend's face, but may initially stop in her tracks upon seeing a person or dog down the street.Sookie came to the shelter after being found hiding under a home with two other dogs, and while she initially needed to be carried around and convinced to come out from under a bed, she is now excited to go on walks, cuddle on the couch and explore new places. With love and trust her personality will shine before your eyes. She takes treats gently, is excited about food, cuddles and laying in the grass, and adores belly rubs and soft-but sturdy!--chew toys. Sookie is a puppy and is still learning what is and isn't a toy, so we recommend supervision around pillows, textiles and shoes.Sookie is spayed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on vaccines and flea/tick prevention and ready to go home!
