Meet maverick
Maverick is an approximately 4-year-old neutered Black Labrador Retriever who is in good health. He is an active, intelligent dog who loves being outdoors, playing, and spending time with the people he trusts. Like many Labs, he enjoys being part of the action and thrives when he has opportunities for exercise, enrichment, and companionship.
Once Maverick forms a bond with someone, he is incredibly affectionate, loyal, and eager to be close to his people. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions to play with and spend time around.
Maverick is fearful of unfamiliar people and can be reactive when meeting strangers. He is not immediately comfortable with new people and requires slow, controlled introductions. Because of this, he would do best with an experienced owner, foster, or rescue familiar with fearful or reactive dogs who can help continue building his confidence and provide the structure he needs to succeed.
