Ellie is looking for her forever family, and she's worth the wait. She takes a little time to warm up to new people — she's thoughtful that way — but once she decides you're hers, you have a completely loyal, loving companion for life. She's a couch snuggler, a shadow-follower, and the kind of dog who makes you feel like the most important person in the room. Off leash and in social settings, Ellie is a total social butterfly. She attends doggy daycare multiple times a week, where she loves running and playing with other dogs. She's also lived successfully around cats with no issues. Ellie is leash reactive, and she's been working hard with a professional trainer to build better leash manners — she's made real progress and continues to improve. Her ideal home is one with some dog experience, or an adopter who's willing to keep up the training routine she's already thriving in. With the right person to continue that consistency, she'll keep growing into an even more confident, well-mannered walking companion. She's also whip-smart and treat-motivated, already knows basic obedience, and genuinely loves to learn — give her a job and a reason to work, and she'll rise to it every time. Ellie isn't defined by a label or a training goal still in progress. She's defined by her loyalty, her playfulness with her dog friends, and how deeply she loves once she feels safe. Her current family is committed to keeping her in a loving home until the right match comes along, so there's no rush — just the right fit.
