Meet deegan
Deegan is an independent gentleman who likes to get acquainted on his own terms. Around 7 to 10 years old, he`s the kind of dog who enjoys exploring his surroundings, checking out every interesting scent, and making sure he hasn`t overlooked a single snack. In fact, if you happen to leave a bag of treats within reach, don`t be surprised if he decides to help himself. It`s hard not to admire his resourcefulness! While he isn`t the type to demand constant attention, he`s happy to wander over for a greeting, accept a few gentle pets, and spend time with people who respect his thoughtful, easygoing nature. Deegan walks nicely on leash, takes treats gently, and has been easy to handle outside of some understandably stressful veterinary care. He appears to have some age-related medical needs, including cloudy eyes, ear irritation, dental tartar, and matted fur that will benefit from continued care. More than anything, Deegan is looking for someone who appreciates a dog with a little independence and a lot of quiet character. He doesn`t need to be the center of attention to make a wonderful companion. He just needs someone willing to let him be himself. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home.
