Josie is a 5-year-old purebred Golden Retriever weighing 73 pounds, and she is every bit as gorgeous as you'd imagine. With her beautiful golden coat, soulful eyes, and sweet expression, she's the kind of dog who turns heads wherever she goes.

But Josie is more than just a pretty face.

She is a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys the simple things in life—being with her people, lounging around the house, and stretching her legs in a large, securely fenced yard. She has wonderful house manners and settles beautifully into home life.

Like all of us, Josie is her own unique individual. While Goldens are famous for being everyone's best friend, Josie is looking for a family that appreciates her for who she is. She'll thrive with an adopter who understands the breed can have some quirks and is happy to continue helping Josie become the very best version of herself.

Josie would do best as the only dog or with a calm male canine companion. She is not a fan of cats and is looking for an adult home or one with older teenagers, rather than young children or frequent little visitors.
