Meet Yihah!

Yihah is an adorable 5-year-old Chihuahua mix with a sweet, loving heart that’s just waiting to be shared. She may be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly once she realizes she’s safe—and then all she wants is to be close to her favorite humans.

This little sweetheart absolutely loves to be picked up, held, and carried around. She’ll happily snuggle into your arms, shower you with kisses, and be your constant little companion. If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, Yihah is your girl!

Yihah does well with other dogs and would enjoy a home where she can relax and feel secure. She can be nervous around young children and doesn’t enjoy fast movements or a lot of commotion, so she’d thrive in a calm, patient home with older children or adults who understand that she likes life at a gentler pace.

With a little kindness and understanding, Yihah’s confidence blossoms quickly. Once she trusts you, you’ll have a loyal best friend who will happily soak up all the love and affection you have to give.

The adoption fee is $300 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.

 Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.

*****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com.  Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.
