Meet dahlia
Dahlia has a way of making people smile almost immediately. She may take a moment to figure out a new situation, but it doesn`t take long for treats, kind words, and a few good neck scratches to win her over. Once she`s comfortable, she`s happy to soak up attention, hand out sweet kisses, and quietly explore everything around her. One of her most endearing quirks is that if you find just the right spot to scratch around her neck, she`ll instinctively try to scratch back with the leg that`s no longer there. It`s a little reminder that she`s simply herself, adapting to life with remarkable grace and plenty of heart. Dahlia gets around beautifully on three legs and doesn`t let it slow her down. She`s an easygoing girl who enjoys sniffing, snacking on treats, and spending time with people who are willing to let her settle in at her own pace. She appears to be around 4 to 5 years old and has some old scarring, minor skin scabbing, and dental tartar, but her missing left hind leg is well healed and doesn`t stop her from enjoying life. Dahlia is ready to trade shelter life for a home where she can relax, collect all the neck scratches she deserves, and remind her new family every day that joy comes in all kinds of packages. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home.
