Hi, I’m Frodo! I'm an 8-lb Chihuahua and I'm just 2 years old. Like my namesake from The Lord of the Rings, I may be small, but I'm brave, loyal, loving and on a mission. Only this time, I'm not trying to get to Mordor, I'm just trying to find a family who will love me forever! 

Favorite Things: This sweet little guy loves ALL people. He will politiely greet new guests and make them feel welcome. He is super snuggly and likes to be held, but he also doesn't have separation anxiety. He is fine when he is left on his own and doesn't make a peep in the house. He also loves toys.  He is a gourmet who loves nibbling on his food, but he takes treats gently. (He will beg, but not too much.) He even dances on his hind legs when he's happy. 

Training & Manners: This tiny gentleman is generally a good boy! He appears to be housetrained and knows “sit.” Even storms and fireworks don’t seem to faze him! Frodo isn’t a fan of car rides and prefers to stay home whenever possible. On walks, he can be vocal when he sees other dogs and will bark at them, so he’ll benefit from continued training to help him stay calm and focused around canine distractions. With consistency and positive reinforcement, he’s sure to make great progress. Other than that, he’s a sweet soul who loves curling up in the people bed at night.

Health & Care: Frodo is a healthy boy! He'll just need his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. As a short-haired dog, he shouldn't need much elaborate grooming, either.

Other Animals: Frodo is currently being fostered as the only pet in the home, but he has previously done well with other dogs. If there is another dog in his future home, a meet and greet will be required to ensure everyone is a good match. He has not yet been tested with cats, but his foster thinks he’d be ok with them. 

Children: Frodo has not been observed around elven infants, young orcs, growing goblins, toddling trolls, or tiny humans yet. 

Ideal Home: This little guy doesn't need two towers, a feasting hall, or a citadel: he's equally at home in an apartment, condo, or single-family home. 

Overall: According to his foster, Frodo is simply a joy. Frodo is looking for a loving fellowship...er, family... to join, with whom he can go on many adventures.
