Since coming into foster care, he has made amazing progress and is starting to show just how loving and loyal he can be.One of his favorite things in the world is his foster sister, Margo the Basset Hound. He looks to her for comfort and confidence, follows her everywhere, and loves to play alongside her. Having another calm, friendly dog in the home could really help him continue to thrive.He is doing fantastic with crate training and keeps his kennel clean. He’s learning his potty routine quickly and does very well when taken outside consistently.While he’s still shy with new people, his sweet personality shines through once he feels safe. He prefers to approach on his own terms and is looking for a patient family who will let him build trust at his own pace. Every day he grows more confident — he now happily approaches his foster family for pets and playtime, especially when he’s near someone he trusts. Watching him learn that people can be kind and safe has been incredibly rewarding.He also does wonderfully with cats! He is curious but respectful, never chasing or bothering them, and should fit in beautifully with a cat-friendly family.Because he is still gaining confidence, he would do best in a calm, quieter home with older teens or adults who understand shy dogs and can give him the patience and reassurance he needs.
