Meet Lugnut!

Year: 2024 ModelMake: French BulldogMileage: Approximately 35 pounds of pure bulldog charmCondition: Previously neglected, now fully serviced and ready for his forever family.

If you've been searching for a dependable companion with plenty of character, we'd like to introduce Lugnut. This 1.5 yr old French Bulldog was found running as a stray, and despite waiting patiently at the shelter, no one ever came to claim him. When he arrived, it was obvious this poor guy had missed a few maintenance appointments—his ears showed signs of painful fly strikes, and his collar had been tightened far beyond factory specifications.

Now that he's been tuned up, fueled with good groceries, and shown what kindness feels like, Lugnut is ready to hit the road toward a better life.

Let's be honest... he's got a face that only a mother—or maybe a mechanic—could love. His headlights don't always point in the same direction, and he may not be the sharpest tool in the toolbox, but what he lacks in horsepower, he more than makes up for in personality. Lugnut is goofy, lovable, and guaranteed to make you laugh every single day.

His social transmission shifts smoothly with other dogs, and he doesn't seem to throw any warning lights around cats either. He's crate trained, has a decent understanding of house manners, and while he occasionally puts it in park when you'd rather he move forward, that's just standard bulldog engineering. Luckily, this model is highly food motivated, making future tune-ups and training much easier.

Don't expect Lugnut to win any races—this isn't a performance package. He's much more interested in hanging out with his people than setting lap records around the backyard. His favorite speed is "cruise control" right beside his family.

As with all French Bulldogs, prospective owners should understand the unique maintenance requirements that come with this special edition. His brachycephalic design means he's sensitive to extreme heat and cold, so climate-controlled living is a must. He also isn't built for life on a tether or tied outside—this classic belongs safely parked inside with his family.

If your garage (not really though - he's a house dog) has room for one goofy co-pilot with endless love, a few loose screws, and a heart that runs like a brand-new engine, Lugnut is ready to become your lifelong passenger.

No lemons here—just one lovable bulldog looking for a family to love him furever.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.

While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.
