Meet chervil

Meet Chervil! This friendly, cuddly boy has an enthusiastic, puppy-like zest for life that`s impossible not to love. Full of happy wiggles, goofy charm, and endless affection, Chervil has quickly proven that he`s a completely different dog in a home environment than he appeared to be in the shelter. His foster describes him as an absolute sweetheart who simply wants to be close to his people—and if he could somehow become a lap dog despite his size, he absolutely would.Since settling into his foster home, Chervil has shown what an easy and enjoyable companion he is. He`s fully housetrained with no accidents, settles beautifully when left home alone, and has excellent house manners. Early on he discovered that trash cans could be interesting, but with a little management that curiosity has disappeared, and he`s proven to be a trustworthy houseguest who happily relaxes until his people come home. One of Chervil`s best qualities is how much he loves people. Men, women, and children are all potential new best friends, and he greets everyone with a wagging tail and an affectionate personality. His foster says he`s incredibly sweet, happily soaking up pets and attention from anyone willing to stop and say hello. He can get a little bouncy when meeting new people because he`s so excited, but his enthusiasm comes entirely from his love of making friends. If you`re looking for a cuddle buddy, Chervil checks every box. He loves leaning against his people, curling up beside them on the couch, and finding any excuse to be touching his favorite humans. His foster describes him as `super sweet and cuddly,` and he`d happily spend the evening snuggled up beside you after a day of adventures. On walks, Chervil continues to make wonderful progress. He walks nicely on leash with very little pulling and has become noticeably less reactive to other dogs, animals, and people than when he first entered foster care. He still enjoys noticing everything happening around him, but he`s becoming more relaxed every day and is eager to check in with his handler. Walking several times a day has become one of his favorite routines, and he settles beautifully between outings.Chervil has previously shown that he can do well with other dogs, and he enjoys making canine friends. He has met other dogs at BARCS and prefers gentle, respectful dog friends.Cats remain very interesting to Chervil when he spots them outdoors, and he`ll often want to inves
