Meet Chervil, a friendly, affectionate boy with a goofy, puppy-like zest for life and a heart that seems to have no shortage of room for people. Foster care has revealed just how sweet and easygoing this handsome guy can be. His favorite place is wherever his people are, and if he could somehow squeeze his entire body into a lap, he absolutely would.Chervil has settled beautifully into his foster home and continues to prove what a wonderful houseguest he is. He is fully housetrained with no accidents and settles nicely between his daily walks. His foster has also successfully managed his early fascination with the trash can by securing the lids, and he is no longer getting into it. With that little bit of management, he`s been a trustworthy and well-behaved companion.People are Chervil`s favorite. He is friendly with men, women, and children and has been wonderful meeting new people. He`s enthusiastic about making friends and can get a little bouncy when greeting someone because he`s so excited, but underneath those happy wiggles is an incredibly gentle and affectionate dog. Once the excitement settles, he`ll happily lean into you for pets and attention.And if cuddling is your love language, Chervil is absolutely your guy. He adores being near his people and loves nothing more than snuggling up beside them. His foster describes him as `super sweet and cuddly,` and that`s exactly the impression he gives. After a few walks and some playtime, he`s perfectly content to settle down near his favorite humans and enjoy some quiet companionship.Chervil is also making great progress on leash. He walks well without strong pulling and has become noticeably less reactive to other dogs, animals, and people. He enjoys getting out several times a day to sniff and explore, and he`s learning that he doesn`t need to react to everything he sees. His increasingly relaxed approach to the world is another sign of how well he`s doing in foster care.Chervil has experience with other dogs and has done well meeting canine friends. He tends to prefer gentle, respectful interactions and would benefit from a thoughtful introduction to any potential dog sibling to make sure everyone is comfortable.Cats are still quite interesting to Chervil. When he spots one outdoors, he may want to investigate, although he redirects well.
