Meet Carter! 🐾Hi there! My name is Carter, and I'm a sweet, handsome 1-year-old Shih Tzu mix weighing 19 pounds. I'm a little taller than your average Shih Tzu, which just means there's more of me to love!My journey hasn't been the easiest. I was found wandering in a rural area, covered in painful mats from head to tail. Thankfully, kind people brought me to a shelter, where everyone worked hard to help me get to safety. Then ARNO rescued me, and my life has been getting better every day!I had to be shaved down completely to remove all those painful mats, but now I'm enjoying lots of love, good food, and TLC. I feel so much better, and my soft, beautiful coat will grow back before you know it.I'm a little shy when I first meet new people, but once I know I'm safe, my sweet personality begins to shine. With a little patience and kindness, I'll become a loyal companion who will love being by your side.If you're looking for a gentle young dog who just needs a chance to blossom, I could be the perfect addition to your family.
