Meet luca
Luca is a tiny Pomeranian whose curiosity is much bigger than he is.
Luca has been moved around several times in his young life (through no fault of his own), and due to all the changes, Luca can be shy on introductions and prefers women, although he can warm to men over time. He was living with another small dog at his last home, and they got along well. His foster family is giving him a wonderful, stable home while he waits for his PERFECT home to find him. They are helping him gain a little weight, giving him all the love he deserves, and working on building secure attachment by leaving him in his crate for consistent stretches of time every day. He sleeps through the night in his crate, even though he would really like to share your bed.
Luca wants to be close to his person, but he is not always a lap dog. At times, he likes to give you a few feet of space and observe from a distance. He is fantastic on a leash and gets very excited about all the sights and smells.
Luca’s is almost completely potty trained but he will need continued work mastering this skill...but what dog doesn't.
Luca’s ideal home is with someone who has the patience and dedication to train him. He is smart but also stubborn, and needs consistency and reinforcement. He is a very sweet boy who deserves love, structure, and a few more lbs.
