Meet duncan
Duncan is an 11 month old chihuahua mix. I found him wandering in downtown Denver and exhausted all efforts to find his owner including taking him to Denver Animal Shelter. After his stray hold expired, the shelter let me know that he would not be eligible for adoption due to behavior in the shelter. He was very clearly scared and therefore snappy with staff. He has never actually bitten anyone. They allowed me to adopt him to save him from death row.
He is super sweet and loves my big dog. He loves women but is fearful of men initially, though he warms up quickly. He has major puppy energy and was likely only born July 2025. He is now neutered and current on vaccines and comes with a year supply of Trio Simparaca (flea tick and heart worm prevention). He barks at people and dogs outside and at loud noises. He does not like his back legs touched but did allow me to trim his nails. He just needs patience, love and training!
