Meet leon
We adopted Leon as a companion for our other dog, and they're okay but he can be snippy and we've given it a year, so it's not time.
We've learned in this year he needs more than we're capable of, and I am now without a job and cannot afford the time nor additional care he needs. He doesn't bother children and is pretty indifferent to cats. He doesn't like high energy dogs that are younger than him as he gets grumpy. He gets very nervous when there are fireworks so please keep that in mind. We've always given him calming treats and cuddles and that helps.
He is housebroken but he has a small bladder and will often overdrink, so he needs frequent breaks to void. He also has a tendency to spit up his food and drink. I think those habits come from his previous home environment as he food guards from other animals but not humans. There's nothing to be done about the spit up aside from use a slow feeder and slow drink bowl and hold him upright to help him swallow his intake properly.
