kaia (fka pru)

Meet Kaia!

Kaia is a beautiful Cattle Dog mix who is just under 3 years old and full of personality, energy, and fun.

Kaia originally came to us as a puppy and was adopted, but as an adult, her previous home was no longer the right fit. She is now back with us and ready to find a family that better matches the awesome dog she has become.

This girl is smart, athletic, playful, and always ready for an adventure. Kaia loves being outside, running, swimming, exploring, carrying sticks, playing, and investigating her surroundings. She has plenty of energy and is looking for an active adopter who will give her opportunities for exercise, enrichment, training, and fun. After a busy day, she also has a sweet, affectionate side and is happy to settle in for snuggles and belly rubs.

Kaia is crate trained, housebroken, knows several basic commands, and does well with routine. Like many smart, energetic herding dogs, she thrives when both her body and her brain have something to do.

Since returning to the rescue, Kaia has been doing great and regularly participates in dog playgroups. She enjoys running and playing with other dogs and has shown us just how much fun she can be. She can have some reactivity around barriers and has a prey drive, so she will benefit from an experienced, dog-savvy adopter with no cats, who can provide structure and continue working with her.

Kaia isn't looking for a couch-potato lifestyle. She wants adventures, playtime, activity, and someone who appreciates everything that comes with a clever, energetic Cattle Dog. A fenced yard would be ideal for helping her safely burn off some of that energy.

More than anything, Kaia is funny, affectionate, athletic, loyal, and full of life. She is an awesome dog who is ready to stop waiting and start her next adventure with a family who understands her and loves her for exactly who she is.

If you're looking for an active companion who will keep you laughing, moving, and on your toes, Kaia may be your girl!

She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested.
