Tessa is an adorable 1-year-old female believed to be a Chinese Crested x Shih Tzu mix looking for her forever home!
Tessa came to us from a backyard breeding seizure case involving more than 70 dogs. Despite her difficult start in life, this little lady is full of energy and always ready for fun. Whether she's playing with toys, exploring the yard, or running around with her canine friends, Tessa is always on the move.
Because of her background, Tessa is still learning how to be a beloved family pet. She is not currently potty trained and will need a patient adopter willing to continue her training and help her adjust to life in a home. She does well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion to play with.
Tessa has not been tested with cats or children. Due to her breed mix and specific needs, breed experience is required.
Tessa is:
• Spayed
• Microchipped
• Fully vaccinated
• Heartworm negative
• Fecal negative
• On monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives
Our adoption process begins with an application. If approved, we will contact you to schedule a meet and greet. We do not operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, we carefully review all applications and choose the home that is the best fit for each dog.
