Wigglesworth is a quiet, gentle soul who takes life at his own pace — and he's been doing the quiet, steady work of becoming more himself every single day. He's not looking for excitement. He's looking for home.

He's made meaningful strides in foster care: he understands "come," walks on a leash with a little coaching, uses wee pads reliably, and settles happily in his crate. More recently, he's reached a milestone that tells you everything about his trajectory — he now allows full handling, including bathing and brushing, without fuss. That's not a small thing for a dog who once needed the world to slow way down for him. That's trust, built one quiet day at a time.

He's been living peacefully alongside a resident cat and a senior dog — not because he's particularly interested in them, but because Wigglesworth is, at his core, genuinely indifferent to the presence of other beings. He's not territorial, not reactive, not angling for attention. He's simply content to coexist, and that makes him a remarkably easy housemate. When he decides he likes you, you'll know — he'll bring you his favorite toy, the softest, most unmistakable gesture of approval you'll ever receive.

His ideal companion — human or animal — is someone who reads a room. A respectful dog who minds their own business would suit him just fine. Dog-savvy teenagers who understand body language and know not to push would likely be a great fit too. Small children, with their unpredictable energy and reaching hands, are simply not his speed.

Outdoors, the world once felt a little big for Wigglesworth — but that's been changing. With the right companion by his side, he's been venturing outside more and more, and his confidence has followed. Indoors with people he trusts, he is relaxed, content, and entirely himself. He communicates clearly: he'll tell you when he needs space, and he'll tell you when he's ready to be close. No guesswork required.

Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Spayed/neutered and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.
