Meet Quill. ❤️

At the very end of a long day spent delivering food to stray dogs, our volunteers drove down one last street in one last town. There, as if fate had been waiting, they found a sweet, painfully thin dog trying to survive.

When food was set out, Quill slowly approached. It was immediately clear something was terribly wrong—her face was swollen, infected, and filled with porcupine quills. Before she could even eat, she was chased away by a pack of dogs. In that moment, our volunteers knew they couldn’t leave her behind.

As if she knew help had finally arrived, Quill quietly allowed herself to be picked up. By pure luck—or maybe destiny—the very last open spot in the rescue vehicle was waiting just for her.

Her road to recovery hasn’t been easy, but Quill has faced every challenge with quiet strength and endless grace.

Today, she’s a gentle, mellow girl who loves cuddles, does wonderfully with other dogs and kids, and is slowly learning that the world can be a safe place. She’s still building her confidence and working through some separation anxiety, so she’ll thrive with a patient family willing to help her continue healing.

Quill has spent enough of her life wondering where her next meal would come from and whether anyone would ever choose her. Now it’s our turn to make sure her story gets the ending she deserves.
